Graduate Trainee – Web Administrator
Job Description
This position requires a committed individual who will take ownership of website maintenance and content coordination across five websites. Key tasks include uploading content to the CMS, monitoring site traffic, publishing blog posts, handling social media content sharing, and performing keyword research to improve visibility and search performance. You will be expected to ensure each website remains up-to-date, functional, engaging, and optimized to keep users returning regularly. Strong initiative and time management skills are essential.
Key Accountabilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Proficiency in Canva for designing digital and social media content
Strong writing and blogging skills for SEO content creation
Experience in producing video content for YouTube, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok
Familiarity with SEO best practices and keyword tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Ubersuggest
Comfortable managing and scheduling content across multiple digital platforms
High level of initiative, self-motivation, and time management
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
A large following on platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, X, or TikTok is an added advantage
Must have reliable internet and a digital-first mindset
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Manage content entry and updates across five websites using a CMS
Conduct keyword research to guide blog and landing page optimization
Use SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar platforms for competitor and keyword analysis
Draft and publish SEO-optimized blog articles
Design digital creatives and promotional content using Canva
Produce and upload short-form videos for YouTube, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok
Share content across digital platforms including WhatsApp, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter)
Monitor application links, forms, and site functionality to ensure a smooth user experience
Analyze web traffic daily and take proactive measures if engagement or traffic drops
Engage with users on digital platforms and respond to inquiries
Repurpose existing content into carousels, threads, or other engaging formats
Collaborate with internal teams for sourcing and validation of content
Contribute ideas to improve user experience and digital reach across all sites
