Job Description
USAID/Uganda is seeking offers from U.S. citizens and U.S. Resident Aliens (currently residing in Uganda and with a valid work permit) to provide personal services under contract as the Administrative Specialist to the Mission Director’s Office (AS/MDO) (Re-advertised) (Resident Hire – US Personal Service Contractor (USPSC).
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the Mission Director's schedule, coordinate meetings, and ensure timely notifications
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, emails, and phone calls
Prepare and edit documents, reports, and presentations for the Mission Director's Office
Coordinate travel arrangements, itineraries, and logistics for the Mission Director and visitors
Maintain accurate records, files, and databases for the Mission Director's Office
Provide administrative support to other offices as needed
Develop and implement effective administrative procedures and systems
Collaborate with other Embassy sections to achieve Mission goals
Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
Minimum 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in an international organization or diplomatic mission
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Ability to work under pressure, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
