Job Description
A Lecturer in a higher education institution has several key responsibilities that revolve around teaching, research, and contributing to the academic community.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching
Course Planning: Develop and update syllabi, lesson plans, and course materials.
Lecturing: Deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials to students in their area of expertise.
Assessment: Design, administer, and grade exams, assignments, and projects.
Student Support: Provide academic guidance, hold office hours, and assist students with understanding course material.
Research
Conduct Research: Engage in scholarly research, often in collaboration with other academics.
Publishing: Write and publish research papers, articles, and books.
Grant Writing: Apply for research grants and funding to support research activities.
Conference Participation: Present research findings at academic conferences and seminars.
Curriculum Development

Administrative Duties

Qualifications and Competencies
Applicants For The Position Of Assistant Lecturer Should Not Exceed 40 Years Of Age At The Time Of Application And Should Have A Cgpa Of 4.0 And Above.
Applicants For All Other Positions Should Not Exceed 55 Years Of Age At The Time Of Application
Academic Qualifications Should Be From Recognised Academic Institutions.
