Job Description
Career Options Africa Group is a HR Consultancy firm specialized in Recruitment, HR outsourcing and Immigration support in Africa with offices in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Burundi, Nigeria, South Africa and South Sudan.
Our client connects African filmmaking talent with global media buyers curating the best filmmakers on the African continent and put them in touch with focuses on the African creative and creating consistent and well-paid work with local and international. The client is looking to fill the post of an Online Events Manager with a suitably qualified candidate.
THE JOB
The Online Events Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing online events on a regular basis. This role may be part-time and focuses on creating engaging virtual experiences for the audience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Planning and coordinating online events, including webinars, conferences, and virtual gatherings.
Managing event logistics, including scheduling, technology, and promotional efforts.
Ensuring a smooth and interactive experience for participants.
Evaluating the success of events and making improvements for future events.
Collaborating with marketing and content teams to promote and support events.

Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communication, or a related field
4 -5 years proven experience as an Online Events Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of successfully executing virtual events.
THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THE JOB
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and competencies.
Proficiency in virtual event platforms and streaming technologies, as well as familiarity with content management systems and online engagement tools.
Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple online events simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with stakeholders and participants.
A creative and innovative mindset with a passion for staying updated on digital event trends and emerging technologies.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
An understanding of data analytics and the ability to derive insights from event metrics.
Seeking a bubbly and delightful candidate with an engaging and charismatic demeanor, well-suited for online presentations and moderation.
