About the Organisation
Bukomansimbi District is one of the three Districts split from greater Masaka. It started operating officially on 1st July 2010. It is comprised of two counties; Bukomansimbi South and Bukomansimbi North. The district has got 5 sub/counties that is; Kibinge, Bigasa, Kitanda, Butenga, Bukango sub/counties and 4 Town Councils that is; Bukomansimbi Town Council,Kigagazzi Town Council,Kagalogolo Town Council and Butenga Town Council .

Job Description
Applications from suitably qualified Ugandans are invited to fill the following vacancy within Bukomansimbi District Local Government.

Duties and Responsibilities
Patient Transport:
Safely transport patients between different departments, wards, and diagnostic areas.
Assist patients in and out of wheelchairs, beds, and stretchers as needed.
Equipment and Supply Management:
Move medical equipment and supplies within the hospital.
Ensure that equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored properly.
Waste Disposal:
Collect and dispose of medical and general waste following proper procedures.
Ensure that hazardous waste is handled according to safety regulations.
Linen and Laundry:
Transport soiled linen to the laundry and deliver clean linen to wards and departments.
Ensure that linen supplies are adequately stocked.
Supporting Clinical Staff:
Assist nurses and other healthcare staff with non-clinical tasks as needed.
Respond to emergency calls and urgent requests promptly.
Qualifications and Competencies
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is usually required.
Training:
On-the-job training is typically provided.
Familiarity with healthcare settings and protocols may be beneficial.
Physical Fitness:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving patients and heavy equipment.
Good stamina and the ability to be on your feet for extended periods.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Basic understanding of hygiene and infection control procedures.
Personal Qualities:
Compassion and patience, especially when dealing with patients.
Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
