Job Description
Collaborate with departments (land acquisition, replacement housing, community relations, grievance management, livelihood restoration, gender) and contractors (RAP planning, land acquisition, archiving, cultural heritage, grave relocation, housing construction, livelihood restoration programs) along with IT partners to gather and consolidate M&E documents.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with departments (land acquisition, replacement housing, community relations, grievance management, livelihood restoration, gender) and contractors (RAP planning, land acquisition, archiving, cultural heritage, grave relocation, housing construction, livelihood restoration programs) along with IT partners to gather and consolidate M&E documents.
Establish and monitor RAP key performance indicators with department units.
Review RAP progress with unit heads and implement corrective actions if needed.
Create management reporting dashboards for compliance tracking.
Qualifications and Competencies
Extensive experience in RAP and LRP implementation in various project phases within the resources sector.
Proficient in developing and implementing stakeholder engagement plans and grievance mechanisms, including reporting.
Skilled in managing cultural heritage resources.
Strong understanding of IFC Performance Standards, particularly PS 1, 5, and 8.
Experienced in supporting and conducting follow-up with lender-appointed social consultants.
Experienced in preparing for and supporting follow-up with government regulators and related ministries.
Survey of the sites: The architect will have to go to the sites and carry out a complete survey of each building concerned by the rehabilitation. The survey must include all the dimensions, the locations of the openings (doors, windows), the existing installations (plumbing, electricity, etc.), as well as any other information relevant to the realization of the plans.
Existing plans: The architect will have to produce the existing plans of each site, including plans, sections, facades, perspective views, etc. Plans should be accurate and to scale, accurately reflecting the current condition of the buildings.
Demolition plans: Based on the surveys carried out and in accordance with the project, the architect will have to produce the demolition plans. This may include the removal of roofing, plumbing, interior partitions and wood joinery. Demolition plans should indicate the specific areas to be demolished, complying with all applicable regulations and standards.
Project plans: The architect will also have to draw up the project plans corresponding to the work to be undertaken.
Technical specifications: The architect will have to write detailed technical specifications for each aspect of the work on these lots, including the materials to be used, the construction methods and any regulations/standards to be met
The consultant will have to participate in the provisional and final technical acceptance of the work.
For new constructions, the missions may include:
Produce architectural plans including sections, elevations, details, etc. for each project.
Coordination with other stakeholders: The architect will need to work closely with other professionals involved in the project, such as fluid engineers, electrical engineers, and members of the project's technical team. He or she will have to ensure, in coordination with these stakeholders, that the different specialties are integrated in a coherent and harmonious way into the overall design.
Prepare detailed documentation, including woodwork books, detail book, etc.
Plan and supervise the work.
All the previous tasks will also be valid for the development of the fire safety file in close collaboration with the fluid and electrical engineers.
Ensure that projects comply with current standards and regulations.
