Job Description

Founded in 2006 for expatriate communities in Europe, it has fast become a global brand synonymous with connecting customers with their loved ones across oceans, borders and networks at the lowest possible price. The business continues to make inroads into new markets regularly, most recently adding Uganda, with plans for additional launches this year.
Job Summary: The Roaming and Interconnect Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing the international roaming and interconnection services of the telecom network. This role involves negotiating and managing agreements with domestic and international telecom partners, ensuring seamless connectivity for customers across different networks, and optimizing revenue streams from roaming and interconnect services. The manager will oversee the technical and commercial aspects of roaming and interconnect services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
To launch Voice & GPRS (2G / 3G / 4G / VoLTE & 5G) Roaming Tie-ups with International Operators in countries where we don’t have any roaming services & also converting Sponsored tie-ups to Direct tie-ups.
To launch Voice services with Carriers – T1 / T2 (at least).
To provide seamless coverage to International roamers (prepaid & postpaid – Inroamers and Outroamers) of LycaMobile by resolving all their issues.
Accountabilities:
Relationship building
Customer complaint management
Roaming & Interconnect service launches
Roaming & Interconnect operations management
Key Performance indicator (respectively)
Identify new roaming & Carrier partners, as per the business requirements of OpCo
Build relationships with Roaming & Interconnect partners to maximize business
Guide & run the day-to-day operations smoothly, solving customer issues along with Technical, customer support, and partner teams
New launched partners (Roaming & Carriers) to provide the services that are commercially live to each other’s customers.
Launching roaming & carrier services with partners for Roaming & Voice maximizing the revenue.
Ensuring at least 1 network/carrier availability (direct) in each country. Top 50 countries to be tied with all operators.
Day-to-day coordination with Data Clearinghouse, corresponding with the following:
Roaming partners & carrier teams
Signaling provider
SIM activation & Inventory (Inbound & Outbound SIM Cards)
Usage tracking
Maintaining a database of SIM Cards (Inbound & Outbound)
Level Opening, Numbering plan management – Document updation & circulation to partners/carriers
Roaming & Interconnect agreements
LCR preparation & Maintenance
Tracking Day to Day / Weekly / Monthly and Yearly revenue from each stream and operator/carrier

Qualifications and Competencies
Preferably worked in Roaming & Interconnect in an MNO for 8 to 10 years
Good command of the English language
