Job Summary: Working as a Digital Training Manager in our Acquisition Sales team offers the chance to collaborate with a very talented Product group that consists of in-house Engineers, Designers, Product Managers and Data Scientists to deliver solutions to real world problems that have a huge scale of impact across Africa.

As our Digital Training Manager, you’ll spearhead M-KOPA’s ambitious digital training initiative, a cornerstone of our sales strategy. With cutting-edge infrastructure at your fingertips, you’ll design and implement innovative learning solutions that empower tens of thousands of salespeople across five markets. You’ll be accountable for driving measurable improvements in the effectiveness of M-KOPA’s training platform and will work with an international team of training professionals to ensure we are delivering the right solutions for each of M-KOPA’s five operating markets.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary person accountable for optimising M-KOPA’s digital academy platform
Design and oversee the delivery of onboarding and continuous training to more than 20,000 sales agents and staff across M-KOPA’s five markets
Manage the training curriculum and learner journey to maximise learning and commercial outcomes
Qualifications and Competencies
Technical Proficiency:
E-Learning Tools Expertise: Strong understanding of digital learning platforms, learning management systems (LMS), authoring tools, and other e-learning technologies.
Content Creation Skills: Proficient in creating and managing digital training content, including video tutorials, interactive modules, webinars, and online courses.
Data Analysis: Ability to analyze training data, such as user engagement metrics and assessment results, to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
Instructional Design Skills:
Pedagogical Knowledge: Deep understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and best practices in digital education.
Curriculum Development: Experience in designing and developing comprehensive training programs that meet the needs of diverse learners.
Customization: Ability to tailor training content to different learning styles, levels of expertise, and organizational needs.
Leadership and Management:
Team Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team of instructional designers, trainers, and content developers, fostering collaboration and innovation.
Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee the end-to-end development of digital training initiatives, manage timelines, and ensure quality delivery.
Decision-Making: Capable of making informed decisions about training strategies, technology adoption, and resource allocation.
Communication Skills:
Clear Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to work with various stakeholders, including senior management, HR, IT, and employees, to align training programs with organizational goals.
Feedback Integration: Skilled at gathering and integrating feedback from learners and stakeholders to continuously improve training programs.
Adaptability and Innovation:
Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to changes in technology, industry trends, and organizational needs, ensuring that training programs remain relevant and effective.
Innovation: Creative in developing new training methods, incorporating the latest technologies and trends (e.g., gamification, virtual reality, AI) to enhance learning experiences.
Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying current with advancements in digital training, education technology, and instructional design.
