The Mountains of the Moon University, is a public university in Uganda. Founded as a private, non-profit institution, the university became a public institution following an executive directive in January 2018. It is named after the Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the Mountains of the Moon.

Job Description
To provide leadership to the International Relations Office, mainly in students recruitment and career guidance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Policy Development
Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to the development and implementation of international strategies and policies that align with the organization's global goals.
Policy Analysis: Analyze and interpret international policies, regulations, and trends to inform the organization’s strategies and decision-making.
Recommendations: Provide recommendations on international issues, opportunities, and threats, helping to shape the organization’s approach to global engagement.
Program and Project Management
Program Coordination: Manage and coordinate international programs and projects, including collaborations with foreign partners, funding arrangements, and project implementation.
Project Oversight: Oversee the execution of international projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired outcomes.
Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of international programs and projects, making adjustments as needed.
Communication and Public Relations
International Communication: Develop and implement communication strategies for engaging with international audiences, including crafting press releases, speeches, and briefing materials.
Media Relations: Manage relations with international media, responding to inquiries, organizing press conferences, and ensuring positive coverage of the organization’s international activities.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with international stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and build strong, collaborative relationships.
Qualifications and Competencies
A Bachelor’s (Hons) degree in International Relations/Diplomacy or Journalism or Mass Communication or Marketing or Business Administration or Business Studies
Experience and Competences
Should have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in international public relations and marketing duties in a reputable public or private institution.
Should demonstrate the following skills and competences:
Experience in International Relations, mainly in students' recruitment and career guidance.
Ability to engage and coordinate with partners or experience engaging and coordinating with partners
Ability to build, lead, and work with teams;
Quick judgement and decision making:
Ability to initiate change
Strong interpersonal and communication (spoken and written) skills, including the ability to produce and compile a variety of communications products in a clear and concise style and the ability to disseminate information effectively.
Ability to establish, develop and maintain effective international relations.
Computer skills especially Microsoft Excel, Word.
