Windle International Uganda (WIU) is an International Non-Governmental Organization dedicated to providing inclusive, equitable, and quality education for refugees and host communities in 12 refugee settlements across Uganda, including urban Kampala. WIU works in partnership with the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) and UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, along with other education and development actors, to address the urgent education needs of refugees in Uganda.
In Adjumani, WIU serves as the lead education implementing partner, covering Kiryandongo, Palabek, Palorinya, and Adjumani settlements. Additionally, in Arua, WIU operates In Rhino Camp, Imvepi, and Bidi Bidi settlement, one of the largest refugee settlements in Uganda.
With funding from Convoy of Hope, WIU would like to invite individually sealed technical and financial bids from eligible, reputable and registered Irrigation companies under the Laws of the Republic of Uganda for the activities mentioned below:

Eligible firms that wish to take part in this exercise must possess the following:
Valid Trading license 2024
Certificate of Incorporation
VAT registration certificate
Powers of Attorney
Current Income Tax clearance certificate
Certified Bank account in the names of the business
Evidence of financial capacity (Bank statement for last 4 months) at time of bid submission
Articles/Memorandum of Association
Company profile
At least 3 years practical experience in installation of DRIP irrigation scheme
Evidence of past experience in installation of DRIP irrigation (attach copies of contracts and completion certificates)
Audited books of account for two years (2022 & 2023)
Closing Date and Time for Submission: Monday, 19th August 2024 at 12:00 p.m. (East African Time) Sealed Bids (Technical and Financial Proposals) should be addressed to; The Secretary, WIU Bids Opening and Prequalification Award Committee and hand delivered to WIU Kampala Office on Plot 726 Nagawa Close, Off Mawanda Road.
