Job Description
An Assistant Technician provides support to senior technicians and engineers in various technical tasks across industries such as IT, telecommunications, manufacturing, or healthcare. The role typically involves assisting with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and other technical support duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
Technical Support
Equipment Setup: Assist in the installation, setup, and configuration of equipment or systems.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment, ensuring that it is functioning correctly and efficiently.
Troubleshooting: Help diagnose and resolve basic technical issues with equipment or systems, escalating more complex problems to senior technicians.
Assisting Senior Technicians
Support Tasks: Assist senior technicians with more complex tasks, such as repairs, installations, or upgrades.
Tool Management: Prepare and organize tools, parts, and materials needed for tasks, ensuring that they are readily available.
Documentation: Record details of work performed, including maintenance logs, service reports, and equipment status updates.
Inventory and Supplies Management
Stock Monitoring: Keep track of inventory levels of tools, parts, and supplies, notifying senior technicians or supervisors when stock is low.
Ordering Supplies: Assist in ordering and replenishing necessary supplies and parts.
Compliance and Safety
Safety Procedures: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling equipment or working in hazardous environments.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all tasks are performed in compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Learning and Development
On-the-Job Training: Continuously learn from senior technicians and engineers to develop technical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Competencies
Applicants For The Position Of Assistant Lecturer Should Not Exceed 40 Years Of Age At The Time Of Application And Should Have A Cgpa Of 4.0 And Above.
Applicants For All Other Positions Should Not Exceed 55 Years Of Age At The Time Of Application
Academic Qualifications Should Be From Recognised Academic Institutions.
