Job Description

An Assistant Technician provides support to senior technicians and engineers in various technical tasks across industries such as IT, telecommunications, manufacturing, or healthcare. The role typically involves assisting with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and other technical support duties

Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Interaction

Customer Assistance: Occasionally assist in responding to customer inquiries or service calls, providing basic technical support or information.
Professional Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with customers, colleagues, and supervisors.

Quality Control

Testing Equipment: Assist in testing equipment or systems after maintenance or repairs to ensure they are functioning correctly.
Quality Checks: Help perform quality checks on tools and equipment, ensuring they meet operational standards.

Workplace Organization

Tool and Workspace Maintenance: Keep the work area, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order.
Documentation and Records: Help maintain accurate records of equipment, maintenance activities, and other technical documentation.

Support for Projects

Project Assistance: Provide support during technical projects, such as system installations, upgrades, or relocations.
Task Execution: Carry out specific tasks as directed by senior technicians, contributing to the successful completion of projects.

Reporting

Incident Reporting: Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or other issues to senior technicians or supervisors.
Task Reporting: Provide updates on completed tasks, pending work, and any challenges encountered.

Qualifications and Competencies

Applicants For The Position Of Assistant Lecturer Should Not Exceed 40 Years Of Age At The Time Of Application And Should Have A Cgpa Of 4.0 And Above.
Applicants For All Other Positions Should Not Exceed 55 Years Of Age At The Time Of Application
Academic Qualifications Should Be From Recognised Academic Institutions.
