Job Description
Arcadia Suites Hotel is a boutique hotel located in an upscale neighborhood in the heart of Kampala, with a rooftop bar and restaurant, but also the comfortable suites and hotel facilities which are catered to fulfill your every need to the highest of your expectations.
Job Summary: This is a full-time on-site role for a Front Desk Attendant at Arcadia Suites Hotel Kampala. The Front Desk Attendant will be responsible for phone etiquette, receptionist duties, clerical skills, communication, and providing excellent customer service. This role entails assisting guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, handling inquiries, and ensuring a smooth guest experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Greeting and Welcoming Guests:
Warmly welcoming guests, clients, or patients upon their arrival.
Providing information about the facility, services, or office procedures.
Managing Check-In and Check-Out Processes (For Hotels and Hospitality):
Handling guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
Processing payments, issuing room keys, and providing information about amenities and services.
Answering Phones and Directing Calls:
Answering incoming calls promptly and professionally.
Directing calls to the appropriate department or person.
Taking and relaying messages accurately.
Handling Inquiries and Providing Information:
Responding to inquiries from guests, clients, or patients in person, by phone, or via email.
Providing accurate information about services, schedules, locations, and other relevant details.
Managing Appointments and Reservations:
Scheduling and confirming appointments or reservations.
Maintaining appointment logs and calendars.
Coordinating with other staff members to ensure smooth scheduling.
Qualifications and Competencies
Phone Etiquette, Receptionist Duties, and Clerical Skills
Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Excellent organizational skills
Knowledge of hotel operations and reservation systems is a plus
High School diploma or Graduate
