Lubes Ware House Supervisor Jobs – True North Consult Ltd

Job Description

True North Consult Ltd is a boutique HR Consultancy Firm offering Outsourced Manpower services, HR Advisory and Executive search & selection services to selected clients across East Africa.
We are searching for competent professionals to assign to our client for the position below;

Duties and Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment and Logistics:

Coordinate with the sales and distribution teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Oversee the loading and unloading of lubricant products, ensuring that they are handled safely and securely.
Manage transportation and logistics arrangements for delivering lubricants to customers or other locations.

Quality Control:

Ensure that all lubricants are stored and handled in accordance with quality standards.
Monitor the condition of lubricants to prevent contamination or degradation.
Report any quality issues or incidents to the relevant departments for resolution.

Facility Maintenance:

Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the warehouse facility.
Ensure that all equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, is in good working condition.
Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities as needed.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare and maintain detailed reports on warehouse activities, including inventory levels, order fulfillment, and safety incidents.
Ensure that all documentation related to warehouse operations is accurate and up-to-date.
Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities to improve warehouse operations, including processes, workflows, and efficiency.
Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in warehouse management.

Customer Service:

Address customer inquiries and concerns related to lubricant orders and deliveries.
Ensure that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner.
Work with the customer service team to resolve any issues related to order fulfillment.

Qualifications and Competencies

High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is often preferred.
Additional certifications in warehouse management, logistics, or safety (e.g., OSHA certification) are advantageous.

Experience:

Several years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the lubricant or chemical industry.
Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a warehouse setting.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse management software.

Knowledge of Lubricants:

Understanding of different types of lubricants, their storage requirements, and handling procedures.
Knowledge of safety standards and regulations specific to lubricants and hazardous materials.

Leadership and Management Skills:

Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and supervising a team.
Ability to delegate tasks, provide clear instructions, and motivate staff.
Competence in handling personnel issues and resolving conflicts.

Organizational and Time Management Skills:

Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Ability to plan and coordinate warehouse activities effectively.
Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and ensure timely order fulfillment.
