The Mountains of the Moon University, is a public university in Uganda. Founded as a private, non-profit institution, the university became a public institution following an executive directive in January 2018. It is named after the Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the Mountains of the Moon.

Job Description
To collect, analyse and process statistical data and information to facilitate planning, budgeting and policy review / development in the University.
Duties and Responsibilities
Monitoring and Evaluation
Project Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the progress and outcomes of development projects, using key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess success and identify areas for improvement.
Investment Performance: Regularly review the performance of the organization’s investment portfolio, making adjustments as needed to optimize returns.
Reporting and Feedback: Provide regular reports on the progress of planning and development activities to senior management, stakeholders, and external partners.
Strategic Development Initiatives
New Opportunities: Identify and develop new opportunities for growth and development, whether through new investments, partnerships, or innovative projects.
Development Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with external partners, including developers, financial institutions, and government bodies, to support the organization’s development agenda.
Capital Projects: Oversee the planning, financing, and implementation of major capital projects, ensuring they meet the organization’s strategic goals.
Qualifications and Competencies
Should have a Masters degree in Quantitative Economics, or Business Statistics.
A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, or Quantitative Economics or Business Statistics.
At least eight (8) years of experience in a planning department of a reputable institution four (4) of which should have been at a senior management level
Experience and Required Competence
Should have good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Must be proficient in using relevant computer packages.
Should be able to work as a member of a team.
Must be a person of high integrity
