Chief Manager Design and Delivery Jobs – Centenary Bank
Job Description
Centenary Bank is a leading Commercial Microfinance Bank serving over a third of the banking population with services that can be accessed across 80 branches, 191 ATMs and over 5,200 CenteAgents and other digital platforms.
Job Summary: Oversee and provide strategic technical leadership for the design and delivery of solutions that meet the Bank’s business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Leadership:
Develop and implement strategies for the design and delivery of products, services, or projects.
Align design and delivery initiatives with overall business goals.
Provide leadership and direction to design and delivery teams.
Project Management:
Oversee the project management process, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of projects.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Manage project risks, issues, and changes effectively.
Design Oversight:
Lead the design process, ensuring that products or services meet user needs and align with brand guidelines.
Collaborate with stakeholders to refine design concepts and make improvements based on feedback.
Ensure the usability, functionality, and aesthetic quality of designs.
Delivery Management:
Oversee the delivery of products or services to ensure they meet client or customer expectations.
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., marketing, sales, operations) to ensure smooth delivery and implementation.
Monitor and optimize delivery processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Team Management:
Manage and mentor a team of designers, project managers, and delivery professionals.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in design, engineering, project management, business administration, or a related field.
A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) is often preferred.
Experience:
Extensive experience in design, project management, or delivery management, typically 8-10 years.
Proven track record of managing complex projects from inception to delivery.
Experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira).
Strong understanding of design tools and methodologies.
Knowledge of quality assurance processes and standards.
Leadership and Management Skills:
Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing large teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve high performance.
Problem-Solving and Decision-Making:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Competence in managing risks and handling complex issues.
