Production Officer job at Latitude Trade Co
Job Description
The Production Officer is a full-time position based in rural Uganda supporting the production of Latitude cocoa
Duties and Responsibilities
Active participation in and management of all aspects of production including receiving cocoa, weighing, fermentation, drying, sorting, blending and packing.
Reporting of fermentation temperatures and drying moistures
Supervision of casual workers
Management of production experiments
Reporting of buyer performance boxes and sample outcomes
Escorting of trucks delivering fresh and dry cocoa
Organization and cleanliness of the production site and storage areas
Care and tracking over company items and assets
Fulfillment of certification requirements as advised by management
Support field work and procurement work as needed
Completion of relevant documentation for production and storage of cocoa
Coordinating receiving and sending of packages to/from offices including cocoa samples
Regular data entry of data and records

Qualifications and Competencies
Competitive monthly salary

Coverage of all work-related travel
Qualifications:
Proficiency in computers (particularly MS Excel and Word), high level of organizational skills, degree or certificate in relevant fields (agriculture, management, finance, accounting, etc), previous experience in similar agro-processing business.
